Stargazing at Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park - Night Sky - by Lian Law

Living in cities, it is almost impossible to have a good view of the stars. You would have to go to a place like Joshua Tree NP for a fantastic view of the heavens.

In this high desert, it is very easy to avoid the glare of human civilization. Just walk a few feet away from any road or camp, and you are in total darkness. Also, the skies are clear most nights of the year due to the low rainfall.

California Adventures

Wherever I go, I am always on the lookout for new adventures. From the tame to the wild: skiing; 4wheeling (Off-road/ATV); surfing; Air Combat; Glider Rides; Canyoneering; just to name a few. This section will provide information about all of those activities and more.

Read about places like Oceano Dunes, Zipline Catalina, and Canyoneering San Antonio Falls.

Adventure Land

Disneyland - Indian Jones - by Josh Hallett - Wikimedia

Adventureland is designed to take the visitor to a tropical jungle full of surprises and adventure.

Indiana Jones

This ride is based on the Indiana Jones films. Riders are taken on an adventure in a military transport vehicle through a lost temple with Indiana Jones as your guide.

Catalina Island

nullCatalina Island is a short boat ride from Los Angeles or Orange counties, but very far off in ambiance and charm. You can very easily forget you are in California and let your imagination take you to a Mediterranean Island.

About Us

Huntington Beach First, let me introduce myself: I am Bill from Anaheim, California - USA.

I love to travel, and during my travels, I was always looking for a good source of information about the area I am visiting. I bought travel guides. I searched travel websites looking for information that only the locals would know, and I always came up empty-handed.

Biking Yosemite

One of the most pleasant ways to experience Yosemite Valley is to hop on your bike and follow one of the winding bike trails. If you did not bring your own bike you can rent one from the many rental places at Yosemite or outside of Yosemite.

Yosemite National Park

If you love nature and enjoy a little adventure in your life then you must add Yosemite national park to the top of your must-see list. The national park is located on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and crosses 3 California counties. It spans an area of 761,268 acres (1,200 square miles) of mountains, steep granite cliffs, valleys, rivers, waterfalls, and lakes. It is home to groves of Giant Sequoia trees and many species of plants and animals. It is also home to the American black bear and California brown bears.

Joshua Tree National Park

This 800,000 acres park straddles the Mojave and Sonoran deserts in California. It is home to the most stunning rock piles, mountain ranges, desert views and an unexpected oasis here and there.

Within the NP boundaries, you can enjoy an abundance of hiking and biking trails, bouldering and camping. The park is also a world-famous destination for rock climbers.
