Irvine SpectrumIrvine Spectrum anaheimer
Since its inception in 1995, the center has undergone significant expansions, the latest being in 2020, evolving into a vibrant hub of activity and culture.
Today, it boasts an impressive array of retail stores, including Nordstrom, Sephora, Apple, and Target, alongside attractions such as a Ferris wheel and a Regal Cinemas 21-screen movie theater.
The center also offers a diverse range of dining options and snack outlets, catering to all tastes and preferences.
Children are treated to a world of fun with a Merry-go-round, the iconic Ferris wheel, and a newly installed playground. The ground fountains and chromatic mist are particular favorites among the younger visitors.
Below are some of my top picks at the Irvine Spectrum:
Dave & Buster's offers a plethora of entertainment options, from video and VR games to billiards and simulator rides, not to mention their dining options. Discover more about Dave & Buster's here.
For those seeking a thrilling challenge, the Escape Game presents six escape rooms with varying levels of difficulty. Explore the escape rooms and their schedules here.
For a dose of laughter, the Improve Comedy Club is the go-to spot for standup comedy paired with a meal.
At Cakemix, unleash your creativity by designing your own cake, a unique and fun experience.
Children will love the Spectrum Climber, a vast three-dimensional climbing sculpture, and the giant wheel and carousel.
The Irvine Spectrum's dining scene is as varied as it is exciting, offering culinary delights to suit every palate.
Personal favorites include The Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang, Fogo de Chao, Javier's Cantina & Grill, and Silverlake Ramen.
For a quick bite or a refreshing drink, options like 85°C Bakery Café, Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Cold Stone Creamery, Häagen-Dazs, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and Starbucks Coffee are available.
While I generally steer clear of chain restaurants, PF Chang’s stands out with its fusion Asian cuisine and an appealing happy hour. The menu's variety and quality are impressive, from the Lettuce Wraps and Shrimp Dumplings to the Kung Pao Dragon Roll.
Main courses like Mongolian Beef, Crispy Honey Shrimp, and Stir-Fried Eggplant are delectable, and the portions are satisfying. The Banana Spring Rolls for dessert are so good one serving is never enough.
The cocktail menu is equally impressive, with favorites like the Coconut Mojito and the Mei Tei.
Javier's, a recent addition to the Irvine Spectrum, offers a delightful dining experience near established names like The Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang. The restaurant excels in both its delicious cuisine and its inviting ambiance.
The meal is tasty and generous, starting with chips and salsa, followed by combo plates like the Enchilada with Taco and the trio of Enchilada, Taco, and Chile Relleno. The Guava and Pineapple margaritas are must-tries, with the Guava Rita being a personal favorite.
The meal ends on a high note with desserts like tres leches and cornbread pudding, leaving no room for leftovers.
The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory is more than just a place for dessert; it's a culinary adventure. The extensive menu includes everything from sandwiches and steaks to pizzas and pasta, with an equally impressive dessert menu. The cheesecakes, especially the Oreo® Dream Extreme and Cinnabon® cinnamon swirl, are not to be missed.
