Mickey's Toontown

nullThe Disney resort is practically in my backyard. My family and I love to spend a whole day or just a few hours at the Disney parks. Throughout the years we learned a lot about the parks and attractions that we like to share with you.

Mickey's Toontown is inspired by 1930s cartoons. The buildings, roads, and rides all look whimsical and psychedelic.

It is targeted towards younger kids. If you have very young ones, they will enjoy Gadget's Go Coaster and Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. They can also visit Mickey Mouse house and Minnie Mouse house.

Brea, CA

Brea Oil FieldsThe city of Brea started as a village for oil field workers, at the peak of the Black Gold (petrol) rush, but when the oil boom became the oil bust, Brea became a citrus producer with orange and lemon fields instead of drilling fields.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the first significant oil well in California, the Pico No. 4, was discovered in 1876, long before the boom in Brea? This discovery marked the beginning of California's oil industry, which would later lead to the development of towns like Brea.

The transition from oil fields to citrus orchards in Brea is a classic example of how communities evolve with changing economic landscapes. The citrus industry played a significant role in Brea's economy until the mid-20th century.

You can still see some oil drills on the hills above Brea, but they are dwindling.

Disneyland Hotel

nullThe Disneyland Hotel was remodeled recently and capacity reduced to allow for the Downtown Disney and California Adventure expansion. One of the original towers was torn down, but any lost capacity was made up by the new Grand Californian hotel and by acquiring Paradise Pier hotel.

Las Vegas Attractions

nullWhen you have had enough of free entertainment and major shows in Las Vegas, you still have a lot of fun to discover around town. Go skydiving indoors or go for a real jump; Take a tour in the city or venture out to Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon. Take the kids to a body parts museum or go view artifacts from the Titanic.

Vegas Indoor Skydiving

This is a very thrilling experience that simulates skydiving. The jump takes place inside a closed chamber with a huge airline propeller in the ground. The propeller creates a strong upwards wind – like a vertical wind tunnel. The skydivers jump into the wind – facing down and the wind pushes them up. But before you can accomplish your skydive you need instructions, equipment, and practice. Read the full article here.

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

Disneyland - StartWars Land - EntranceThe Disney resort is practically in my backyard. My family and I love to spend a whole day or just a few hours at the Disney parks. Throughout the years we learned a lot about the parks and attractions that we like to share with you.

The newest addition to Disneyland is Star Wars - Galaxy’s Edge, a land dedicated to everything Star Wars.

Star Wars Land at Disneyland was both amazing and disappointing at the same time. I loved walking around in this otherworldly town on the planet Batuu.
