The Pageant of the Masters and Festival of the Arts is a summer-long event and a haven for art lovers.
You can start your visit to this open-air gallery by strolling through the art exhibits showcasing the work of local artists.
You can find artistic photography, oil paintings, sculptures, and handmade jewelry. Junior artists can showcase their creations in a special section.

Grab a drink from one of the bars, then sit in the garden and enjoy the day's musical performance. You can also enjoy your drink while browsing the exhibits.
If you prefer a full sit-down meal, visit the Terra Laguna restaurant and enjoy dinner under the open sky. Unfortunately, I couldn't say under the stars because, in Laguna Beach, most summer nights are cloudy. The restaurant is not top-notch, but it is convenient as no other restaurants are nearby.
The highlight of the evening is the Pageant of the Masters, which starts at 8:30 PM. In a large open-air theater, popular art comes alive with the help of an orchestra and a cast of volunteer models.
Interesting Fact: The Pageant of the Masters has been a tradition since 1933, bringing art to life for audiences for over 90 years.
The show changes every year. In 2024, the theme is "Artistic Journeys" - celebrating the stories behind famous artworks and their creators.
The show extends beyond the stage. Wherever you are seated, you will catch performances all around you on the surrounding hills. For the best view, try to find a seat in the middle section, "S." If you are too close to the stage, you will miss some of the action.
Tip: Purchase your tickets early as they sell out quickly, especially for the weekend shows.
Ticket prices range between $40 and $60. For more details, visit the official website here.
