Lightning Lane is your ticket to bypassing long standby queues. By purchasing a pass, you secure an appointment window to return to the attraction. When your time arrives, you enter through a dedicated lane with a wait time of fewer than 15 minutes.

Lightning Lane Multi-Pass allows you to book multiple rides throughout the day. You can hold up to three selections at once. Once you use one, you can book another.

For the ultimate convenience, Disney recently introduced the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This premium option grants you one-time entry to every Lightning Lane attraction in both parks without selecting return times. You simply show up and ride.

Did You Know? Pirates of the Caribbean was removed from the Lightning Lane service on July 1, 2025. It now operates a standby queue only, which often moves surprisingly fast due to the ride's high capacity.

Some of the most popular attractions are not included in the Multi Pass. For these "high-demand" rides, you must purchase a separate Lightning Lane Single Pass à la carte.

If you want to beat the crowds without spending extra money, the Single Rider line is a brilliant strategy. If you are traveling solo—or if your group is willing to split up to fill empty seats—you can significantly reduce your wait.

On a recent trip, the standby wait for Space Mountain was posted at 75 minutes. By using the single-rider entrance, I boarded the coaster in less than 10 minutes.

Do you have small children who aren't tall enough for the thrill rides? You don't have to miss out. With Rider Switch, your group lines up together (or checks in with a Cast Member). One adult stays behind with the non-riding child while the others ride.

Once the first group returns, the waiting adult can swap in and ride without waiting in the standard line again.
