Disco Divas in Las Vegas is just one of the countless shows that dazzle and entertain visitors. So, why choose this show? If you were enamored with the disco craze of the 70s and 80s, then Disco Divas at the Alexis Park Resort is tailor-made for you. It emerges as a radiant tribute to the disco queens.
About the Show
"Disco Divas" is a sensational all-female cast tribute show celebrating the iconic music of Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Cher, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, and Gloria Gaynor. You're instantly transported back to the vibrant disco era as you enter the glittering theater.
The performers channel the energy and charisma of these legendary divas, meticulously capturing the essence of each artist. With every note and groove, "Disco Divas" pays homage to the timeless hits that defined an era, offering an unforgettable spectacle of glitz, glamour, and pure disco magic.
My wife, daughter, and I recently attended this show, representing three generations. My daughter, having never experienced the Disco days, was initially hesitant. My wife was also uncertain about the show. However, despite their initial reservations, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
The performers were incredibly energetic and captivating. I found the performances by Cher and Olivia Newton-John particularly delightful.
The show runs for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. You can find more information and tickets at their website here, but for better ticket prices, go to vegas.com.
Alexis Park Resort
Located a short distance from the Las Vegas Strip, the Alexis Park Resort is a serene oasis, a welcome respite from the bustling casinos. This is a nice way to say it's somewhat isolated, but if you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the strip, then it could be a peaceful retreat.
The resort boasts all-suite accommodations, beautifully landscaped grounds, and three shimmering pools. For those seeking entertainment, the Modern Showrooms at the resort offers a range of performances catering to diverse preferences.
The Pegasus Showroom
The show takes place in the Pegasus Showroom, a quaint and intimate venue. The setup includes a few tables and chairs surrounding the stage, complemented by two TV screens on either side. This snug setting allows the performers to interact with the audience occasionally. The screens display vintage commercials, setting the nostalgic mood for the show. The drinks on offer are both delicious and reasonably priced.
Dinner
We opted for the combo dinner and show package, assuming we'd dine as we watched. However, we learned that food isn't permitted in the theater. Instead, we were given vouchers for the Alexis Garden Steakhouse near the showroom.
While the food was decent, our steaks were served cold. Our server was amiable and attentive, which made up for the cold meat. I'd suggest considering other dining options before or after the show.
